Adoption Procedures

We only consider your home for adoption after we receive a completed ACRA application form (see ACRA Application Form below).  Once we have a completed form, we can then go to the next step in adopting your new companion.

We will review your application to see if the dog you’re interested in is a good fit for your home/lifestyle and that you meet the required needs of the dog.  We will also check your veterinary references to be sure that pets you have or have had in the past were cared for, altered, and kept up to date with necessary medical care.

If this initial review is approved, we will schedule a home visit with you to ensure that the home is “dog safe”, appropriate for the needs of the dog being considered, and to give you an opportunity to see if the dog’s personality is compatible with your family.
